Debut album from the ineffable Guy Branum.
Guy is a writer and comedian best known for his recurring segment “No More Mr. Nice Gay” on Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, serving as “Staff Homosexual” on Chelsea Lately and his performance as Natalie Portman’s sassy gay friend in No Strings Attached. Noticing a trend? He’s appeared on Last Comic Standing, Arsenio, E!, MTV, G4, CurrentTV and lots of other channels you’d need to upgrade your cable to watch. He’s also written for Punk’d, Another Period, Awkward., Billy on the Street and Fashion Police. That means he’s watched the Grammys at Joan Rivers’s house. Jealous? Guy also writes self-important essays for various blogs and occasionally makes web videos where he dances around without his shirt on. But mostly, Guy is very, very beautiful and good at having sex.
"...swaggeringly opinionated and sweetly vulnerable, as gifted with an argumentative rant as an old-fashioned punch line. It’s only May and we already have a strong candidate for best special of the year." - New York Times
“Subtlety isn’t part of the equation for Guy Branum. Formerly a writer and panelist on Chelsea Lately, Branum is a forceful stand-up with a sharp, unapologetically defiant attitude.” - Vulture’s 50 Comedians You Should Know in 2015
"He’s a hilarious, larger-than-life gay man who tweets passionately about pop culture, political issues and somewhat notably, #LookingHBO. He also went to law school, so he’s smart and funny (the best combination)." - Buzzfeed
"Throughout Effable, Branum’s forceful, authoritative comic persona carries within it a core of vulnerability" - A.V. Club
"His brilliant writing and his commanding stage presence make Guy simply unforgettable." - The Comedy Bureau
